At Parkwood, our loyalties are to our customers and our employees, not Wall Street analysts and stockholders. We can afford to be very selective about the communities we build in as well as the homes we build. Mass produced cookie-cutter homes have never been a part of our business plan; instead, we strive to deliver 100% customer satisfaction, quality High Performance homes and responsible sustainability.
Parkwood has been able to build in some of America’s best neighborhoods. The Urban Land Institute has recognized both Kentlands, Maryland and Denver’s Stapleton as Great Communities. We understand that only our purchasers can turn our houses into homes and our streets into neighborhoods but we do everything possible to help that process along. Because community is so important, a lot of thought and planning goes into each of our streetscapes. House massing and roof configurations are thoughtfully planned, we use quality building materials that age with dignity, we do our best to quickly establish a feeling of place. Most of our homes have large, functional front porches not a 4 or 5 foot wide tack-on feature.
We are also committed to environmentally responsible building practices. All of our homes are ENERGY STAR certified and we use only the best materials and building techniques to ensure you will enjoy a High Performance home for years to come. With ten home plans and twenty-five elevations all based on timeless American traditional architecture we can give you just the home that reflects your taste. And as a semi-custom builder, you will have flexibility in building a home that fits your lifestyle. Parkwood crafts only a small number of homes each year.
